I first got into Affiliate Marketing to try and generate some extra cash to help pay my bills. I didn't have any grand ideas of becoming a millionaire or leaving my job, I just needed money to survive.

So I came up with a plan:

1. I built a website
2. I joined every affiliate program I could find
3. I put up banners on every page
4. I sat back and waited for the money to roll in.

So what Happened? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

At first I wanted to quit, but that is not in my nature, so I decided to study affiliate marketing to try and uncover the affiliate marketing secrets. This has been an interesting and an ongoing journey, but I was amazed to find out the following statistics?

Did you know that 97% of affiliate marketers make less than $157 a month? That's hardly enough to pay a couple utility bills.

But, in my case I have to make affiliate marketing work to help pay my bills and I'm afraid that $157 per month just won't cut it.

You see, I firmly believe that if I can do this properly I can earn enough, consistently, to not only pay my bills, but to hopefully be in a position to quit my job and do this full time.

I've come such a long way since I first took the step to become an affiliate marketer, but I've still got a long way to go.

I've bought a lot of ebooks and listened to a lot of interviews, but I have only been able to uncover parts of the picture, but not the full picture. After buying product after product I kept asking myself the same question "Surely there must be someone out there that is willing to mentor me?"

Well, today I believe my luck has changed. I came across an interview with Russell Brunson, one of the top affiliate marketers online, and he was talking about his new project where he is going to be personally developing 50 people to become six-figure affiliates.

As soon as I got home I visited his website and looked at his program and the list of coaches for this "affiliate bootcamp" and I couldn't believe the caliber of the people who will be coaching. 

I was so impressed that I immediately signed up!

So, did the program work? and have I made enough money to pay my bills? Well, only time will tell as this program starts October 26 2005.
